I am taking the exam tomorrow. I've been trying to answer all these questions. I already have the following answers. Could you check them, please? I'll prepare the rest of them tomorrow.

1. Refer to the exhibit. A technician has configured the interfaces on the Router, but upon inspection discovers that interface FastEthernet0/1 is not functioning. Which action will most likely correct the problem with FastEthernet0/1?
The no shutdown command needs to be added to the interface configuration.

2. Refer to the exhibit. Which route will be removed from the routing table if manual EIGRP summarization is disabled the Serial0/0/0 interface of R3?
172.16.0.0/16

4. You have been asked to explain converged networks to a trainee. How would you accurately describe a converged network?
A network is converged after all routers share the same information, calculate best paths, and update their routing tables.

5. A router that is using RIPv2 learns of the network 10.10.10.0/24 from two different neighbors. Which value is used by RIPv2 to select the best path to the network?
route metric

6. Refer to the exhibit. When the show cdp neighbors command is issued from router C, which devices will be displayed in the output?
B, D

7. In a complex lab test environment, a router has discovered four paths to 192.168.1.0/24 via the use of the RIP routing process. Which route will be installed in the routing table after the discovery of all four paths?
R 192.168.1.0/24 [120/1] via 192.168.100.1, 00:00:17, Serial0/0/1

8. Which phase of the router boot process involves running diagnostics on the hardware components from ROM?
performing the POST

9. How will a router that is configured with a classless routing protocol determine the subnet mask that should be assigned to routes that are learned from neighboring classless routers?
The subnet mask that is included in the routing updates will be used.

10. Refer to the exhibit. Which combination of IP address and subnet mask can be used on the serial interface of Router2 in order to put the interface in the same network as the serial interface of Router1?
IP 172.16.32.18, subnet mask 255.255.255.252

12. Refer to the exhibit. Both routers are using the RIPv2 routing protocol and static routes are undefined. R1 can ping 192.168.2.1 and 10.1.1.2, but is unable to ping 192.168.4.1.
What is the reason for the ping failure?
The 192.168.4.0 network is not included in the RIP configuration of R2.

40. The command ip route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 172.16.2.2 was entered into the router. After network changes were made, the new next hop for the 192.168.2.0/24 network is 172.16.5.1. What should an administrator do so that the router will use the new next hop to reach the 192.168.2.0 network?
Negate the original command and enter a new static route with the new next hop.

41. What does RIP use to reduce convergence time in a larger network?
It uses triggered updates to announce network changes if they happen in between the periodic updates.

42. Refer to the exhibit. Which host has a combination of IP address and subnet mask on the same network as Fa0/0 of Router1?
host B

43. Refer to the exhibit. All interfaces are addressed and functioning correctly. The network administrator runs the tracert command on host A. Which two facts could be responsible for the output of this command? (Choose two.)
The entry for 192.168.1.0/24 is missing from the routing table of R2.
The entry for 192.168.2.0/24 is missing from the routing table of R1.

44. Refer to the exhibit. When troubleshooting a network, it is important to interpret the output of various router commands. On the basis of the exhibit, which three statements are true? (Choose three.)
The missing information for Blank 1 is the command show ip route.
The missing information for Blank 2 is the number 120.
The missing information for Blank 3 is the letter C.

45. Which statement is true about the RIPv1 protocol?
It excludes subnet information from the routing updates.

46. How does route poisoning prevent routing loops?
Failed routes are advertised with a metric of infinity.

47. Refer to the exhibit. The network is running the RIP routing protocol. Network 10.0.0.0 goes down. Which statement is true regarding how the routers in this topology will respond to this event?
Router5 will send Router4 a triggered update with a metric of 16 for network 10.0.0.0.

48. Refer to the exhibit. A network administrator has configured OSPF using the following command: network 192.168.1.32 0.0.0.31 area 0
Which router interface will participate in OSPF?
Serial0/0/0

49. Refer to the exhibit. An administrator is adding a new subnet of 50 hosts to R3. Which subnet address should be used for the new subnet that provides enough addresses while wasting a minimum of addresses?
192.168.1.64/26

50. Refer to exhibit. Given the topology shown in the exhibit, what three commands are needed to configure EIGRP on the Paris router? (Choose three.)

I'm missing the answers for questions: 3, 11, 22 and 24.
I don't know if the answers are correct, but I think the score should be at least 80%.

Additions to above:
Missed questions and correcting Q13,23,28,31,38 & 50

3. A static route is established

11.Automatic summarization is enabled on R1

22.The configuration register is not configured with the default setting

24.The last set of digits (11100000) is 224 which are used for multi-casting which is what these 3 protocols use for advertising.

Incorrect answers:
13.R1(config-router)# network 172.16.0.0 0.0.31.255 area 0
Why?:0.0.31.255 is sufficient without adding the whole range.

23.flash memory, TFTP Server
Why?: Look up IOS in the semester search function its shown in a picture!!! (flash and TFTP is where you can boot an IOS from)

28.It is the administrative distance of the routing protocol.
Why?: the first is the AD the second is the metric in this cast 120 is RIPs AD and 1 is the hop count.

31.Its 192.168.4.0
Why? 192.168.3.0 will still be in the neighbor as either a directly connected OR 2 hops(depending on which way you go). 192.168.4.0 will be 14 hops for a closer neighbor or will be 16 ie. infinity and will be dropped by neighbors further away from this route.

38.10.1.2.0,10.2.2.0
Why?: these are both child routes of the parent route 10.0.0.0 and one of the above mentioned routes that is incorrect is the parent route 10.0.0.0

50.Paris(config)# router eigrp 100
Paris(config-router)# network 192.168.7.0
Paris(config-router)# network 192.168.8.0
Why?: These networks are directly connected and need network statements so that routing will be enabled on them. The 192.168.9.0 network is on a different route so it is responsible for that network statement and not this router.

Anything I have gotten wrong please feel free to correct me as I would like to know for my own benefit. And if I have missed any correct answers lucky you for picking them up as the first guy who posted and myself did not pick them up. lol

Have fun with these answers and good luck!

2nd last para should say "it is on a different routerso it is responsible for that network statement..."
